un altro bel film mai apparso da noi.
una storia ambientata in un futuro non troppo lontano, l'agricoltura è fatta solo di semi transgenici e sterili, ma qualcuno, contro la legge, cerca di resistere e tramandare i semi tradizionali.
la terra sta molto male, cambiamenti climatici hanno causato gravi danni, i migranti (solo climatici?) sono innumerevoli.
la storia è ispirata al Corano, ed è di un'attualità credibile.
vedere per credere, a me è piaciuto molto, e così spero per chi lo guarda.

…Ce drame est celui de notre début de siècle : le
bouleversement criminel par l’homme de son environnement. Dans un futur
relativement proche, les manipulations génétiques ont dégradé tous les
écosystèmes et finalement tué le monde vivant. Dans un monde dictatorial et
coupé entre la Ville et les Terres mortes, et dans une ultime lutte pour la
survie de l’espèce humaine, Erol Erin, un généticien spécialiste des semences,
entreprend de retrouver un théoricien disparu.
Semih Kaplanoğlu est un réalisateur de grand talent,
et la facture de son film en est la preuve. Le scénario est érudit. Il
s’inspire en effet d’une sourate du Coran, et d’une manière générale laisse
libre cours à une spiritualité œcuménique tendant vers un spectre métaphysique
large. Pour son inscription dans le genre de la science-fiction, et dans son
ambition allégorique, La Particule humaine est très inspiré
du Stalker d’Andrei Tarkovsky. C’est effectivement dans
ce modèle de cinéma que le film de Kaplanoğlu veut se fondre, avec une économie
de mots et une aridité éloquentes…
…O cruzar do local deserto, belissimamente filmado nas
vastas paisagens da Anatólia, traz muito das fábulas religiosas e encontra
espaço para a divagação poético-filosófica de Kaplanoğlu sobre a vida e o ser
humano. Ainda que seja fácil perceber toda a inspiração em Tarkovski no filme, o
diretor ressignifica a jornada estética e imprime um tom muito próprio, que
encontra ecos em sua própria filmografia (como na trilogia Yussuf).
Observativo e instigante, Grão individualiza o tempo de apreensão dos
espectadores, mas nem sempre de forma confortável. Há complicações e
facilidades metafóricas contratantes e prolongamentos não tão oportunos. Porém,
vale pela incrível construção imagética e por sua mensagem.
…This is a film that is important for
viewers familiar with the GMO debate. The pro-GMO enthusiasts will debunk
the science in this English film, which is a
Turkish-German-Swedish-French-Qatari co-production. According to the
director, the film has been wilfully kept out of certain important film
festivals that wanted to initially screen the film by the influential pro-GMO
lobby. In spite of this, the film won the top award at the Tokyo film festival.
The film was shot in Michigan (USA), in Germany and in Turkey. Visually the
film is stunning in its stark beauty—an antidote to colour and natural flora
that one encounters in commercial cinema. The subject itself is an antidote to
the prescription of a better world as seen by the private sector corporations for
us.
Whether one agrees with the basic scientific premise of the film or not, Grain is definitely one of the most important films of 2017, arguably the most ambitious work of Kaplanoglu, especially for any reflective viewer with either an interest in science or in theology/spirituality.
